In ResponseIn response to Fred Hetzel, Jr's comment about the Narconon Drug Rehabilitation and Education Program, I would like to offer some facts instead of opinion.Narconon has had several outcome studies conducted proving its effectiveness in settings where clients are residential, out-patient and even incarcerated and followed upon parole. These studies have conclusively proven that the success rate of Narconon program graduates remains at approximately 70% or above on a consistent basis, regardless of the setting. Some of these studies can be viewed at Narconon Arrowhead's main website www.stopaddiction.com by clicking on "Narconon Research". Mr. Hetzel eluded to a disapproval of the Narconon facility in Oklahoma by the state of Oklahoma, however, we are certified by the Oklahoma Board of Mental Health and Substance Abuse for non-medical detoxification, therefore his statements have been once again proven false. In addition, Narconon Arrowhead has been accredited nationally by the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF) for over a decade. I encourage anyone who read his comments to check it out and see for themselves. The Narconon program is only opposed by people who are against non-traditional treatment methods or who misunderstand what effective rehabilitation actually is. We are a drug-free program and use vitamins and minerals to help restore health to individuals ruined by drug and alcohol abuse. Why would someone attack a program that is saving lives by helping people overcome addiction throughout the world? In closing, I must say, that I would also not be here today if it were not for the Narconon program, because I am one of the successful 70%. |
