ImageThere are 8.3 million children in the United States who are living with a substance abusing parent. Of those children 7.3 million live with a parent who is addicted to alcohol and 2.1 million live with a parent who is addicted to illicit drugs. What is being done to protect these children from following in the same footsteps as their drug and alcohol abusing parents? What is being done to help these parents get the help they need to make a full recovery from their addictions so that they can be good role modules for their children? These two questions are asked everyday.

A lot of the time when children are involved it is hard for single parents especially to commit to long term programs. Once they do they begin to realize that taking the time to make positive changes in their lives will also be positive for their children in the long run. Getting help for parents who are addicted will not only save the parent but it will save the child from a life time of struggling with their parent’s addiction or becoming addicted themselves. Success Story - Narconon Arrowhead Drug Treatment Facility
I have now completed all the books here at Narconon Arrowhead's Drug Treatment Facility. When I came here I wasn’t sure how much I was going to get out of this drug rehab program. I’m amazed in the difference in myself. I can tell the difference. I’m confident in my ability to stay clean and sober by confronting my environment and any problems I come across in life. I love myself and others now. I’m appreciative of what I have. I’m energetic about my life and ready to go have a successful life. I love the person who I am today. I am happy, which was one of my gains through my drug rehab program. I am happy every day and throughout the day. I thought that would never be possible. My communication with others is amazing compared to what it was before coming to Narconon Arrowhead. I know I can do anything and have anything in this world and intend on getting everything I want. I have most of it now after completing this drug rehab program, HAPPINESS! My body is in the best shape it has ever been in and clean of drugs. I no longer get urges to do drugs or think about them.
