2003 was a wonderful year for Narconon ArrowheadSuccess in our mission to eradicate drug and alcohol addiction continued on many fronts and the international network of Narconon® Drug Rehabilitation and Education centers has continued to grow, now spanning 37 countries. Here in southeastern Oklahoma and throughout the state we have enjoyed contributing to and working with many local businesses, civic groups, community coalitions and chambers of commerce. Our drug education program for children and adults expanded to deliver the truth about drugs to over 43,000 people in schools, churches and other youth groups and in the last three years we have helped people in over 125 cities throughout the state gain a greater understanding of substance abuse to make the decision to live drug free. Free copies of the 10 Things Your Friends May Not Know About Drugs can be downloaded at www.narconon-drug-education.com. Adding to our awareness and education campaign this year Narconon Arrowhead published its first book entitled Helping Someone Overcome Addiction. This book describes the basics of how people become addicted, as understanding the problem is the first step to solving it. Thousands of copies of this book have been distributed to individuals, libraries and organizations all across the country and it can be ordered at www.solveaddiction.com. In addition we have had thousands of public service announcements and interviews with staff broadcast on television and radio stations as well as printed in newspapers throughout the nation. Aligned with our informational websites we have been able to get vital information about drugs and addiction to millions from coast to coast. In September we celebrated the anniversary of our move to southeastern Oklahoma as well as National Alcohol & Drug Addiction Recovery Month. With local elected officials and representatives from many organizations we celebrated the fact that full recovery is possible and the Narconon program has demonstrated that successfully for over 30 years. Highlighting our event was a special guest appearance by actress, writer, loving mother and drug-free advocate Priscilla Presley. As you may have heard, Narconon Arrowhead is ready to expand. We are in the middle of a $15 million renovation and construction campaign that will enable us to serve many more people and fulfill our role as the international training center for the Narconon network. This expansion means that we will grow as an economic impact in the surrounding communities by adding 200 more jobs and bringing many more millions of dollars annually into southeastern Oklahoma. We are very proud to be here in southeastern Oklahoma and grateful for the wonderful support we've had thus far. We will continue our fight to end addiction with the tools developed by L. Ron Hubbard through the most effective rehabilitation and education programs in the country and look forward to building many more meaningful relationships in the area.
