History of Narconon’s Certification With CARF

Narconon Arrowhead strives to be the only facility of its kind.  With one of the most successful approaches to a drug free rehabilitation in the world, Narconon Arrowhead has been awarded many certifications and accreditations. Since 1966, the rehabilitation centers have grown with their communities. Narconon Arrowhead has been officially recognized by multiple government agencies and non-government organizations all over the country and throughout the world.
National Board of Addiction Examiners (NBAE) recognized Narconon Arrowhead for their facility location, and for their world-class staff.  “Know that at Narconon Arrowhead you have found the best place possible,” says a National Board of Addiction Examiners spokesman.

Narconon Arrowhead is located on beautiful Lake Eufaula on over 200 acres of state park land, with a water-front serene setting.  Narconon Arrowhead opened its doors in 2001, and has been improving lives ever since. The professional staff at Narconon Arrowhead prides themselves on helping save lives, being positive, productive role models, and assisting to consistently produce drug free people who are valuable contributing members of society.

The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (ODMHSAS) presented Narconon Arrowhead a full, 100% in compliance with required state criteria, accredited certification for their drug-free rehabilitation program.

Narconon Arrowhead’s Chief Executive Officer Gary W. Smith said, "My center's goal has always been to meet or exceed state and federal treatment standards because the individuals that we help are the ones that benefit from a higher quality care in the end. I think it's a new era for the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and treatment providers in the state. We have known for some time that substance abuse is one of the key factors that are driving up prison and health care costs and more treatment services are needed, not less. State regulations seem to be moving more towards inclusion of alternative types of effective rehabilitation methods and programs rather than being exclusive to what has been considered traditional treatment methods."

The Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, (CARF) is a nationally recognized and prominent entity. The organization first presented the Accreditation Award to Narconon Arrowhead, the same year that Narconon Oklahoma opened their doors in 1991. The CARF accreditation shows that Narconon Arrowhead is a facility that is devoted to improve efficiency, fiscal health, and service delivery, establishing the groundwork for everlasting quality enhancement and consumer satisfaction.  Government regulators, insurance companies, and third-party contributors view the Accreditation which shows the quality of the deliver of the Narconon program. The center is very proud to be among some of the most elite organizations who have been accredited with this certification.
