Education and Entertainment Set For Two Schools in Tulsa and Broken ArrowYou may have read about them in papers throughout the state, visited their educational websites, seen their public service announcements on television or even seen a presentation in person. They are coming to town again, and this time they're not alone. That's right, Narconon Arrowhead's beloved drug prevention specialists are bringing their powerfully truthful and interactive presentations back to Cascia Hall in Tulsa and to Sequoyah Middle School in Broken Arrow for the first time. Accompanying the prevention specialists from Narconon Arrowhead will be the Jive Aces. Strong advocates of anti-drug messages, the Jive Aces are a retro-swing band that cuts across genres and generation gaps with their high energy and fun-loving style. They will again be the featured entertainment at Narconon Arrowhead's Recovery Month Celebration and Anniversary Event being held on Saturday the 18th at the McAlester Expo Center. On Friday, September 17th Narconon Arrowhead Director of Drug Education J.T. Daily will be giving presentations to Sequoyah Middle School at 9 AM and then again at Cascia Hall at 2 PM. His sincere yet upbeat and insightful messages on the truth about drugs come from personal experience of overcoming addiction and years of helping others do the same through the program. September is National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month, which is in its 15th year of observance and is sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Last year's event hosted by Narconon Arrowhead, which is one of the nation's largest and most successful education and rehabilitation programs and uses the effective drug-free methodology developed by L. Ron Hubbard, was featured by SAMHSA in several Recovery Month webcasts. According to Daily, who has personally spoken to well over 100,000 students throughout the country, "I love coming to Cascia Hall and am excited about going to Sequoyah. The kids in the Tulsa area are great and the teachers and parents are really caring and supportive." The presentations are part of our week-long Recovery Month activities and sort of a prelude to Red Ribbon Week, which is at the end of October and is national drug prevention week. The theme for Narconon Arrowhead's event on the 18th is New Lives, Reunited Families, Stronger Communities. The celebration marks Narconon Arrowhead's third year in their new facility and 15th year in Oklahoma overall. For more information about the event, contact Chris Red at 918-339-5800.
