Approximately 1,000 people from the local community attended: Distinguish guests included State Senator Richard Lerblance, State Reps. Narconon Arrowhead has grown to 150 staff and are servicing nearly 200 people in need of the center's rehabilitation services at a time. Narconon of Oklahoma, Inc (dba) Narconon Arrowhead first started its operation in northern Oklahoma in September of 1989. "Since coming to Oklahoma we have graduated over 2,000 people from our successful drug rehabilitation program in addition to delivering drug education and prevention lectures to over 120,000 youth throughout the region in just the last 3 years," says CEO of Narconon Arrowhead Gary W. Smith. "We are proud of our contributions to Oklahoma and for the incredible amount of local support and friendships we have made since coming to this area. We have plenty to be thankful for and lots to celebrate about," Smith continued, who was also the MC for the evening's festivities. The event was organized to align with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) National Drug and Alcohol Addiction Recovery Month, which is held throughout the month of September and is also in its 15th year of observance. The theme of Arrowhead's celebration was New Lives, Reunited Families and Stronger Communities through successful drug rehabilitation. The show began with the Redland Singers & Eufaula Boarding School Color Guard, which was followed by a dinner blessing by Reverend Samuel Harper before all those in attendance enjoyed a southern style barbeque. Clark Carr, President of Narconon International, briefed the crowd on the demand for new Narconon Centers that are currently forming in foreign countries like Jordan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Canada and England. Carr also pointed out that the Narconon program, researched and developed by American author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, demonstrates the workability of a non-traditional drug-free approach and there continues to be more and more interest from professionals the world over in learning Narconon's approach. |
