Peyote

Peyote_Drug_Rehab.jpg

Hallucinogens cause people to experience - you guessed it - hallucinations, imagined experiences that seem real. The word "hallucinate" comes from Latin words meaning, "to wander in the mind."

No wonder some people refer to hallucinating as tripping.

The "trips" caused by hallucinogens can last for hours. Parts of these trips can feel really good, and other parts can feel really terrible.

Hallucinogens powerfully affect the brain, distorting the way our five senses work and changing our impressions of time and space. People who use these drugs a lot may have a hard time concentrating, communicating, or telling the difference between reality and illusion.

Success Story from Narconon Arrowhead's Prescription Drug Rehab Center
Every graduation, on Friday, I reflect on my previous week. It is my way of inventorying my progress in this drug rehab program, as well as how I feel physically, mentally and emotionally. I have been doing this since I was in the withdrawal phase of the program. The changes in me are remarkable. I have not really changed as much as I have become myself again. My drug use has been running my life for the past five years. I have been missing in action since I was 33 years old. I missed myself, only existing in a body. My mind and spirit were almost dead. When others looked in my eyes, they said I did look dead. This drug rehab program has found in me more than I can express! J.T.
