Narconon’s Solution for Prescription Addiction

Prescription addiction is becoming more and more of a problem in today’s society. Many are just going to doctors and faking symptoms, in order to get prescribed medication they do not need to either sale or take. Some many not even realize that they are dependent on the prescription they were given by their doctor, even if taken at the recommended dosage. The body gets use to this substance going through its system, so when it is taken away it can go into shock and cause the user to experience major withdrawal symptoms.

Prescription drug addiction has become extremely popular to the youth of today as well. Many think that because a doctor has prescribed the drug, that it is safe. Many also think that they can’t die from taking prescriptions or become addicted to them. This is far from the truth and is why educating the youth is very important. If they knew more about prescription addiction they might be more cautious as to try these drugs.

Prescription drug addiction makes a person do things they normally wouldn’t. Most will isolate themselves and lie to those they love. Jordan, a former Narconon student, went through many negative experiences as a result of his addiction.

“I lost my health and friends from my addiction, along with memorable times with my family,” he says.  Jordan’s drug addiction consist of Roxicodone and different pain medications. He went from an isolated addict, to a successful, sober member of society once finding treatment.

Narconon is a long term, inpatient treatment center that strives to change people’s life for the better. Narconon is considered nontraditional for many reasons, but specifically because they do not use medication to get you off of drugs and they also use a dry heat sauna to rid the body of all toxins. After completing this program, most only have one thing to say: “I have never felt better!”

Narconon wants all who becomes a student at their facility to finish and become a successful member of society. Of students who have graduated the Narconon program, 70% of them are still sober today and continue to grow in their sobriety.
